The Story Behind Joy and Hope
Joy and Hope Foundation is committed to transforming the lives of marginalized individuals in Uganda's Sebei sub-region.
Founded by Peter Poloman, our journey began with a simple vision: to uplift and empower marginalized individuals—children, women, youth, widows, the elderly, and vulnerable groups through faith-based initiatives and quality education.

To empower and uplift marginalized communities through compassionate support, sustainable development initiatives, and holistic programs that foster education, health, economic independence, and social inclusion for all.
Message from the Founder
My heart’s deepest desire and passion is to see vulnerable people obtain a better life—one filled with hope, dignity, and the confidence to overcome barriers to success. I believe that every individual, regardless of their background or circumstances, deserves the opportunity to fulfill their dreams and live with purpose. This conviction has driven me to actively engage in social impact initiatives, community service, and the establishment of a faith based organisation aimed at addressing the pressing needs of impoverished communities. Over the years, I have dedicated myself to creating sustainable solutions that empower the marginalized. I founded the Joy and Hope Foundation, a faith based organisation committed to transforming lives in Sebei region in eastern Uganda and beyond.

Through this foundation, I have spearheaded projects such as the Joy School and the Joy Christian Centre, which serve as beacons of hope and avenues for holistic development for children and families facing extreme poverty. These projects focus on education, spiritual growth, and community empowerment, providing vulnerable children with access to quality education and safe spaces for growth. My passion for social impact stems from witnessing firsthand the struggles faced by those living in poverty—lack of access to quality education, healthcare, and opportunities for socioeconomic mobility. I am particularly driven by the desire to approach these challenges with boldness and confidence, encouraging individuals to see their potential and take active steps toward transforming their lives. I believe that with the right support, resources, and mindset, even the most disadvantaged can break free from cycles of poverty and despair.

Objectives of Joy and Hope Foundation
- Promote Spiritual Growth and Christian Values:
To preach and spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ through discipleship, equipping ministers, establishing churches, performing church services, and communicating the message by all lawful means in Uganda and beyond. - Promote Education and Skill Development:
To provide access to quality education, vocational training, and life skills for vulnerable children, youth, and women, enabling them to become self-reliant and contribute positively to their communities. - Support Vulnerable and Marginalized Groups:
To offer social, economic, and emotional support to widows, the elderly, persons with disabilities, and other marginalized populations, fostering a sense of belonging and dignity. - Enhance Health and Well-being:
To improve health awareness, access to healthcare services, and nutrition for underserved communities, ensuring healthier and more resilient populations. - Foster Economic Empowerment:
To facilitate income-generating activities, microfinance, and entrepreneurship programs that enable vulnerable groups to achieve financial independence. - Advocate for Social Justice and Inclusion:
